Craig Duncan is the living embodiment and chief ambassador of GRIT Life’s core values. A natural motivator and passionate mentor, Craig’s passion has always been helping others. Opening GRIT Life was the catalyst to launch others towards achieving their best self.

Friendly, driven and mindful, Craig’s drive and zest for life are contagious. He prides himself on tailoring programs to meet members’ individual goals and limitations.

His coaching journey began in college at Southwest Baptist University. He holds certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

His passion points include obstacle course racing, nutrition, meditation and recovery. If you’re looking for an active listener that can put you on the path to mindfulness and health or someone who can motivate you to up your game and shatter personal bests, you owe it to yourself to connect with Craig.

Coach Jaime is an athlete, mother, wife and friend with a passion for lifting, obstacle course racing and running.

A fitness coach with more than six years of experience, Jaime is the perfect mix of cheerleader and drill sergeant. She excels at recognizing an athletes abilities and limitations and pushes just hard enough and revels in celebrating success with individuals and groups.

Jaime's love for coaching began when she found that she could share her passion for fitness with others and saw how receptive they were to it. She has two children, Lucy and Max, and believes that making time for yourself and your health is both important, and a great example for children.

Suzy believes fitness is more than just movement and believes that fitness is about self-empowerment, progress and even fun. A passionate coach and multi-sport athlete, Suzy's infectious smile impacts even the most grueling of workouts.

``My goal for myself and all of my clients is to enable constant evolution and learning. I want everyone I work with to feel they’re being appropriately challenged, to instill confidence and to empower them to become the person they see themselves being.``

Coach Suzy's training programs have helped clients reduce stress, gain muscle, build healthy habits, release endorphins and reach fitness milestones.

Whether you want to complete your first pull up, run a 5k, feel better about your day or just smile more, Suzy believes fitness is the journey to unlock your potential.

Melissa Agee

A longtime athlete with a passion for martial arts, boxing, kickboxing and obstacle course racing, Coach Mel is a passionate coach and advocate for fitness.

A Michigan native, coach Mel has been a competitive swimmer since age 9 and took up her interest in kickboxing and Maui Thai in 2014 while living in Colorado. She is a certified instructor for level 1 and level 2 in Tran's Maui Thai and kickboxing.

Mel's passion for OCR began in 2015, when she began training for OCR races with a group called Unlimited Potential out of Boulder, CO. Through this program, she trained for OCR, animal flow and general strength and ran her first Spartan race in April 2016 (Austin, TX) and completed a 2X Trifecta in 2016 and 2017. Mel has also competed in the OCR World Championships in 2016 and 2017.

She coaches boxing and obstacle course racing classes at GRIT.

Coach Sean Kelley

Originally from Ludington, Michigan, Coach Sean came to Grand Rapids to play basketball in college. Though he transferred away to play an additional season following his freshman year, Sean’s affinity for Grand Rapids remained and he returned to begin his fitness career.

“I have had a unique experience of being able to be a group fitness instructor, personal trainer and a youth sports performance coach,” says Coach Sean. “I really enjoy giving back to people and helping improve lives in and out of the gym.”

Coach Sean is completing his exercise science degree this May and holds certifications in personal training and strength and conditioning coaching through the international sport science association. His hobbies include basketball, lifting, reading and cycling.

He loves working with TRX and challenging our GRIT members in classes and in personal training sessions.
