Lifestyle change is gradual, long lasting and promotes health. In the chaos of life, health can get lost. Not knowing how to begin, stay consistent and motivated can make you feel defeated before you begin. GRIT LIFE Member Transformations are something incredibly special to us and we are honored to share their stories.

Learn a little more about GRIT LIFE Member Liz Post.

Q: Why did you decide to make a healthy change in your lifestyle?

A: My main reasons for making a healthy change in my lifestyle are my four kiddos. After a decade of motherhood, I needed to remember who I was outside of being a mother, but also think about who I wanted to become. I was tired of being tired and having a body I didn’t recognize. I knew I needed to start taking care of myself and making my health a priority.
Q: What struggles have you faced? What has been the toughest?
A: So many struggles; every day is a struggle! Trying to fight that inner mean girl voice telling you, ” You’re never going to make it,” that ” You’ll never be strong enough,” or no matter how on point your nutrition is, ” You’ll never reach your goals!”
The toughest struggle was making my goals bigger than my excuses! Thinks like, “I don’t have the time, I don’t have the money, I don’t have the support,” don’t exist anymore.
Q: Can you share some victories? Does one stand out?
A: I’m a big believer of non-scale victories! I know too many people who gauge their success and self worth by the number on the scale. PLEASE DON’T! As my transformation story took place, I became more comfortable in my jeans, I smiled more. I had more energy throughout the day. My family told me they were proud of me.
Every workout you complete is a victory. Every time you choose to be healthy over convenience is a victory. It’s hard to choose just one. But, I think that finally learning that consistency is key and not perfection like I first thought, is a pretty big deal.
Q: What goals do you have set for yourself now and in the future?
A: The biggest goal I have; past, present or future; is to be my healthiest self. To show up for today; to let my todays add up into weeks and months and eventually to my healthiest life that I’ve always wanted to live.
